Chapter 260
Warren Garten returned home with a dark expression. That woman always shamelessly exposed herself in front of him without restraint.
Even going upstairs required him to carry her, clinging to him like a koala.
"Isabella, the chairman sent me to pick you up." His deep voice carried a suppressed desire, instantly dissolving Isabella Langley's anger.
Adrian Valentine was nowhere to be found.
"Don't worry. Your father's men are watching Adrian. We'll know his every move."
Warren sensed her concern, bitterness rising in his chest.
Isabella had no choice but to leave with him. Before departing, she sent a message to those surveilling Adrian.
[If Adrian goes to see Evelyn, notify me immediately.]
She suspected Adrian was seeing that woman again. Every time Evelyn was involved, Adrian would mysteriously vanish.
[Understood, Miss Langley.]
The internet erupted in outrage. Cassandra Valentine was torn apart for drugging Julian Roscente in her desperate bid to marry into the Roscente family.
In the hospital, Margaret Valentine smirked at the news. Cassandra was finished.
Her Isabella would become an Academy Award-winning actress—the most distinguished Mrs. Valentine in Vienna.
Cassandra was nothing.
......
At the Noble Fin Restaurant, Evelyn Roland sat across from Sebastian Orlando.
Evelyn adored their coconut chicken stew, the rich broth irresistible.
Sebastian ladled soup into her bowl. "Drink it while it's hot. Have the meat afterward."
For breastfeeding, Evelyn consumed large amounts of broth daily.
She glanced down at her slightly rounded stomach, relieved it wasn't noticeable when standing.
Lately, she avoided fitted dresses.
"Don't worry. With your medical skills, losing weight won't be a problem." Sebastian smiled reassuringly.
Evelyn chuckled, serving him sweet and sour squirrel fish—his favorite.
"Scarlett loved this." Sebastian picked up a piece, shadows flickering in his eyes.
"Evelyn, it's been five years since Alexander passed. You should move on." He said abruptly.
Her smile froze, chopsticks suspended midair.
Sebastian hesitated, then his phone vibrated. His expression shifted. "An emergency. I have to go. I'll arrange a ride—"
"No need. I can get back myself." Evelyn knew that mysterious caller mattered deeply to him.
After hurried instructions, Sebastian left.
Evelyn sipped her soup alone when a figure suddenly appeared opposite her.
