Chapter 400

Adrian Valentine stared coldly at Isabella Langley dangling mid-air, his gaze glacial.

Margaret Valentine stamped her foot anxiously, voice trembling. "Get her down now!"

She couldn't believe anyone would dare lay hands on a Valentine.

"Does it hurt to see your real daughter suffer?" A hoarse voice echoed from the shadows.

The room fell silent.

Adrian's brow furrowed.

Vincent Langley's face drained of color.

Eleanor Langley's purse hit the floor with a thud.

Margaret staggered back two steps, pale as death.

"No!" Isabella writhed in the ropes. "You're not my mother!"

Her desperate eyes locked on Adrian—the man she'd schemed to seduce was actually her brother?

"A paternity test will confirm it." The shadowed voice dripped sarcasm. "How revolting, Margaret, engineering your own children's marriage."

Margaret screamed hysterically. "Evelyn! This is your doing!"

Slap!

Eleanor struck Vincent across the face.

"You lied to me!" Her voice cracked. "You said her mother died years ago!"

Vincent's cheek swelled instantly.

Slap!

Another blow landed.

Eleanor's eyes burned crimson. "You filthy adulterers!"

The voice from the darkness fanned the flames. "Eleanor, they switched your real daughter at birth. They know where she is."

Eleanor yanked out her phone. "Vincent, I have the video evidence. Either reveal my daughter's whereabouts, or I'll destroy your reputation!"

Her finger hovered over the send button.

Margaret shot Adrian a panicked look.

Vincent's expression turned venomous. "Press send, and you'll never see your child again."

The air thickened with tension.
