Chapter 415
The living room fell into dead silence.
Adrian Valentine stared at his grandmother's aged face. "The incident at the docks—was that your doing too?"
The elderly woman rose with the support of her cane, her gaze sweeping over the estate that held half a lifetime of memories.
"This house is tainted. Sell it."
A flicker of relief passed through her clouded eyes.
Adrian's throat moved. "I have a villa in the southern district—"
"Unnecessary." She waved a dismissive hand. "Where I live now, I can see your father's grave just by opening the window."
Evelyn Roland had just stepped into Regal Heights when her phone lit up with a report from Zachary.
Her fingers glided over the screen, her gaze sharpening.
The Valentine family's drama was even more riveting than she'd anticipated.
Victoria Laurent emerged from the kitchen with a bowl of medicine. She paused when she saw Evelyn lost in thought.
"Miss, it's time for your medicine."
Evelyn instinctively recoiled. "I just remembered there's a document at the office—"
Victoria seized her wrist. "Even Mr. Roscente drank his medicine obediently after falling into the water. Do I need to feed you myself?"
A notification suddenly popped up on her phone.

Evelyn's eyes turned icy as they fixed on those words.
"This scent..." she murmured. "It's a specialty from Montreal."
Hurried footsteps echoed from outside.
"Miss!" Sophia Blanchet burst in, breathless. "Something major just happened!"
