Chapter 170

Jonathan Savigny couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

But Adrian Valentine had been separated from Isabella for over a year now. Maybe he was overthinking it.

"I heard Adrian recently secured a multi-billion-dollar eco-resort project," Jonathan remarked casually.

Eleanor Langley rose gracefully. "It's too early to discuss partnerships. I should head back. You handle the press release—I might lose my composure in the car."

She forced herself to stay composed.

Jonathan smirked knowingly.

Eleanor shot him a glare.

"The site borders Sterling Manor. They'll be co-developing," he added.

"This could be a lucrative opportunity for our company."

He wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Stay tonight. Vincent will be up all night studying those maps."

"Still not satisfied?" His voice dropped to a husky murmur.

Eleanor's cheeks flushed. "The villa, then. But I must return before dawn. Release the statement first."

Jonathan's grin widened. "Agreed."

——

Evelyn Roland arrived home to find her twins playing on the playmat.

Her grandfather had dropped them off early after visiting friends.

"Mommy!"

Felicia scrambled toward her, giggling. Tristan waved quietly.

"Gabrielle's here," Evelyn noted, spotting the open medical journal.

She dropped her bag and swept both children into a fierce embrace, covering them with kisses.

"What are you researching now?" She nodded at the notebook.

Gabrielle Flores held it up. "I'm documenting cognitive differences between gifted infants and neurotypical children."

These two surpassed even Evelyn's IQ levels.

The elder twin exhibited startling analytical precision.

Felicia, though brilliant, had boundless energy—even in sleep.

Her intense focus and rapid reactions could shake the roof during playtime.

"How so?" Evelyn asked, equal parts hopeful and apprehensive.
