Chapter 436

Adrian Valentine's eyes turned glacial as he recognized the newcomer.

Sebastian Orlando strode into the office with effortless grace, every movement exuding the refinement of old money.

He took the seat across from Adrian, his gaze calm as still water.

Both men radiated untamed arrogance. Adrian's smile held a razor's edge of disdain.

Sebastian appeared more overtly flamboyant, yet closer inspection revealed an undercurrent of scholarly poise.

Sophia Blanchet immediately rose to prepare coffee for Sebastian—a deliberate snub meant for Adrian.

Adrian barely glanced at the petty display, his spine straightening as regal authority emanated from his posture. He stood slowly, locking eyes with Sebastian. "Mr. Orlando, my wife's affairs are none of your concern."

Murderous intent flashed in Sebastian's peach-blossom eyes.

"I don't interfere with rescue missions, Mr. Valentine. But your wife Isabella was just humiliated. If you wanted to save her, you should've acted sooner." His voice dripped with sarcasm.

Tension crackled through the office.

Nathan Aldridge and Sophia Blanchet shivered under the oppressive atmosphere. The clash between these two titans was terrifying.

Nathan gritted his teeth. Why did he feel more agitated than the actual parties involved?

Adrian's cold laugh carried a dangerous allure. He dismissed Sebastian's provocation with icy indifference.

As he left, he calculated—Victor Ashcroft should have succeeded by now.

Sebastian watched Adrian's retreating figure, pensive. Why this sudden interest in Isabella's predicament?

Turning back, he resumed discussing bail procedures with Nathan.

In the lab, Gabrielle Flores continued berating Christian Lefèvre, vowing to "wake him up" within three days.

By the time Adrian reached the building's exit, Victor stood waiting beside the car.

"Did you get it?" Adrian quickened his pace.

His earlier diversion had allowed Victor to infiltrate Sophia's computer for evidence.

Victor nodded. Another masterstroke from the CEO.

But one question lingered. "Sir, why did Mrs. Valentine refuse bail?"

Adrian's lips pressed into a thin line at the memory. "We move tonight. Expose Vincent Langley's bribery scandal—keep him too busy to target my wife."

Victor handed over an encrypted drive.

Adrian accepted it, leaning back with lethal calm. Ice glinted in his eyes.

"To the office."

The engine roared to life at Victor's command.
