Chapter 472
Evelyn shook her head. "He didn't notice at all. He even complimented the taste and asked for a second cup."
Scarlett burst into laughter, slapping the table in amusement.
"Oh my god, Adrian is absolutely ridiculous!" She doubled over, tears forming at the corners of her eyes.
Evelyn sighed. "Is it really that funny?"
Wiping her tears, Scarlett gasped, "Of course! The mighty CEO of Valentine Group stealing his own child's milk!"
And he actually wanted more.
Evelyn remained silent.
She picked up a piece of steamed sea bass. Tonight's seafood feast was lavish, complete with her favorite sashimi.
Scarlett was already devouring the spicy fish.
"Evelyn, actually—"
"Let's eat first." Evelyn cut her off, unwilling to continue the topic.
Between her and Adrian, it was time to draw the line.
"Once the children turn three, I'll take them to Falcon Training Camp for a while."
She stated it plainly.
"I'll go too! Perfect timing for my new role's physical prep." Scarlett's eyes lit up. "Training with you always motivates me."
Evelyn smirked. "Just don't complain about the pain."
"But isn't it too harsh for them at such a young age?" Scarlett frowned, concerned.
Raised in privilege, she couldn't fathom that Evelyn had begun heir training at three.
"Tristan is the heir. This is necessary." Evelyn's tone was firm. "I'll be with them often."
Scarlett fell silent. She understood the weight of an heir's duty.
After dinner, Scarlett groaned, rubbing her stomach. "I'm stuffed."
Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Serves you right for overeating. Let's walk back."
"Can I stay at your place for a few days?" Scarlett blinked hopefully.
"Suit yourself." Evelyn chuckled. "When I'm away, you can visit your brother across the street."
Laughing, they left the restaurant, unaware of Adrian watching from the shadows.
At the mention of "across the street," his eyes turned icy.
After all this time searching, she had been living right opposite Sebastian.
