Chapter 235
Adrian's palm felt noticeably broader than before.
Evelyn, still in her lactation period, felt the weight of her chest pressing heavily against his hand.
"Call the police?" Adrian held his phone before her, his lips curling into a dangerous smirk. "Go ahead."
Evelyn scoffed. "Is Isabella not enough for you? Are you so desperate you'd harass your ex-wife?"
She shoved him with all her strength.
The man didn't budge. Instead, he pulled her closer.
"Darling," his deep, magnetic voice dripped with temptation, "when have you ever won against me?"
His warm lips brushed against her earlobe.
Evelyn tensed, wishing she could kick him into orbit.
"Darling?" She laughed bitterly. "Adrian, you should get your head examined. We're divorced. Understand?"
"I have a suitable marriage prospect now. Stay away from me."
"Don't call me 'darling.' It's disgusting."
She couldn't comprehend it.
Isabella was the one he cherished, yet he always sought her out.
Adrian's eyes frosted over instantly.
Her familiar scent drove him mad—hating her ruthlessness yet craving her desperately.
His Adam's apple bobbed as he pressed closer.
"Marriage prospect?" His voice turned icy. "Sebastian? Or Nathan?"
Evelyn thought of Nathan's gentle gaze and raised a challenging brow. "None of your business. What are we besides exes?"
"You remember being my wife," his voice darkened, "but you never realized how cruel you could be."
His chest felt like it was weighed down by a boulder.
"Cruel?" Evelyn swallowed the bitterness in her throat. "That word suits you and Isabella better."
"Let me show you something." She pulled out her phone. "See how repulsive you both are."
A shrill female voice erupted from the video:
"This is Mr. Valentine's company! Next time Evelyn shows up, humiliate her to death!"
"Mr. Valentine can't stand her clinging to him!"
"Ms. Langley is so lucky—her private jet is stunning!"
Adrian's brows furrowed.
So Isabella was behind this.
"Evelyn," he suddenly chuckled darkly, "aren't you seducing me right now?"
He hated her betrayal even more than her lies.
It had started as a bet, but he'd fallen for her.
Evelyn stared at him like he was insane. "Adrian, you're sick. Get out!"
