Chapter 252

Julian Roscente's expression remained indifferent. "Ms. Roland and I are merely professional associates. Have you ever seen an affair conducted in broad daylight like this?"

Cassandra Valentine quickly interjected. "Julian, I know you're just protecting her. But I'll never forgive what she did—drugging you and seducing you!"

Evelyn Roland let out a mocking laugh. "Since when do I need your forgiveness? Your audacity knows no bounds."

Cassandra stiffened.

How could this woman be so vulgar?

Evelyn waved her phone. "Did you really think you could slander me without consequences just because there was no evidence last time?"

At the sight of her gesture, Cassandra's face twisted in alarm.

The live chat exploded with comments.

~Here we go again! Evelyn always has an ace up her sleeve. Can she clear her name this time?

~I heard she's an orphan. People keep bullying her.

~So what if those wealthy heirs hang out with her? Jealous people just call her a temptress.

~Cassandra's the real wild one. I've got receipts!

Cassandra remained oblivious to the shifting tide in the chat.

"Well, isn't this lively?" A voice cut through the tension. Cassandra Valentine strode forward in striking red heels, her crimson dress impossible to ignore.

She paused deliberately beside Adrian Valentine and Isabella Langley. "Adrian, you're truly heartless. Standing by while your ex-wife gets harassed? Evelyn must have been blind to ever marry you."

Adrian paled instantly.

Evelyn's lips curved slightly at Cassandra's arrival.

This spectacle was getting more entertaining by the minute.

Isabella glared at Cassandra's retreating figure, teeth clenched.

That woman only brought trouble!

Even Cassandra's own cousin stiffened at her approach.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Cassandra announced, waving her phone, "I have proof that Isabella and Cassandra conspired to frame Julian and set Evelyn up that night. Anyone interested in seeing it?"

Isabella and Cassandra both gaped in shock.

That lunatic was here to ruin everything!

A reporter spoke up. "Ms. Valentine, Cassandra is your cousin. Why side against family?"

Cassandra smirked. "Since when does family scheme against each other? Their sins go far beyond this. Cassandra's private life is... quite the spectacle. Shall I show you?"

Adrian stepped forward. "Cassandra, enough."

"Enough?" She arched a brow. "Adrian, ganging up with these vipers to torment a defenseless woman—how noble of you."

Her tone dripped with sarcasm.

Evelyn's gaze turned glacial as it landed on Adrian.

So he'd been part of it too?

Adrian met her eyes, his stomach dropping.

Another misunderstanding.

"Cousin," he murmured, lowering his voice, "let's discuss this inside."
