Chapter 246

Vincent Ashcroft struggled to open his eyes. Evelyn Roland's icy presence loomed inches away.

Her razor-sharp aura made his breath hitch.

He instinctively clenched his fists, only to find himself covered in blood and grime.

Evelyn looked down at him, her red lips curling into a faint smirk.

"Falcon Training Camp." Her voice was glacial.

Vincent's pupils contracted violently, his heart pounding.

He forced himself upright, voice trembling. "Miss Roland... Did I pass?"

The slight upward tilt of Evelyn's lips sent his blood boiling.

"Zachary will take you." She turned, her coat flaring with unquestionable authority.

A black Maybach glided silently to the curb.

Vincent Ashcroft Sr. helped his son into the car, eyes red-rimmed. "Son, you must endure."

Vincent looked back at his father, throat tight.

"Don't worry." His father patted his shoulder. "We'll be waiting for your rebirth."

Zachary Deross shut the door expressionlessly. The engine roared as the car sped away.

Vincent Ashcroft Sr. stood motionless, tears blurring his vision.

He knew what Falcon Training Camp meant—hell itself, yet also the chance for phoenix-like rebirth.

Around the corner, Adrian Valentine's Maybach rolled to a stop.

Julian Roscente narrowed his eyes. "That's Nathan Aldridge's personal driver."

Adrian stared at the retreating taillights, knuckles whitening.

He'd never seen Evelyn like this—a drawn sword, edges gleaming with lethal intent.

That imperious aura left his chest constricted.

A month.

He'd deliberately avoided all news of her, yet her name haunted every corner.

"Get me Evelyn Roland." Julian suddenly dialed a number.

Adrian whipped his head around, gaze sharp as a blade.

Julian met his stare with a cold smile. "Problem?"

"What do you want with her?" Adrian's voice could freeze hell itself.
