Chapter 161

Evelyn trembled with rage, her cheeks flushed crimson.

Adrian adored this fiery side of her.

Her usual icy composure always made him feel shut out of her world.

"Adrian, what's your game? You think I'm filthy yet still touch me?"

Evelyn couldn't fathom his actions. Did this man still harbor feelings for her?

Impossible!

"Of course I do." Adrian smirked. "But you're my wife. Holding my own wife is perfectly natural."

His burning gaze traced her vivid expressions.

She'd clearly recovered.

"Evelyn, now that you're better, I can torment you again." His voice dropped to a husky, teasing murmur.

His hand instinctively found her waist.

Softer than he remembered.

Strange—her abdomen used to curve gently, now it felt impossibly supple.

"Darling—"

"Don't call me that!" Evelyn shoved him away. "Isabella is your darling. Adrian, have you no shame? Divorced means dead to each other!"

She sprang up to leave.

"Boyfriend?" Adrian's eyes turned glacial. "Repeat that."

"I said I'm getting a boyfriend!" Evelyn met his glare defiantly. "Been single too long—time to consider marriage. Stay away from me."

She pushed him hard.

His motives baffled her.

Once he couldn't wait to be rid of her. Now he kept grabbing and kissing her.

Was the man deranged?

Or was Isabella failing to satisfy him?

The thought of him touching her after embracing Isabella made her stomach churn.

"Disgusting—taking turns with ex-wives and current ones. Play your games, Adrian, but keep me out of them."

"Disgusting?" Adrian's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Evelyn, I'll show you real disgust."

He yanked her back, slamming her onto the sofa.

His hands pinned her mercilessly as his mouth claimed hers.

Evelyn fought wildly.

Adrian gave no quarter.

One hand shackled both her wrists while the other gripped her nape.

However she twisted, his lips pursued relentlessly.

Evelyn wished she could kick him into orbit.

Adrian reveled in tormenting her like this.

Their past intimacy always began with him trapping her on the sofa, kissing her breathless.

"Ad—"

His mouth devoured hers, the kiss deep and intoxicating.

He knew exactly how to unravel her.

Minutes later, Evelyn's struggles weakened.

Amusement flickered in Adrian's eyes before he finally released her gasping lips.

His thumb brushed her flushed cheek as he rasped, "Evelyn, leave Vienna. Please."

Her ragged breaths echoed between them.
