Chapter 316

"Room service. Your dinner is here." A flippant voice called from outside.

Sophia peered through the peephole. Dominic Valrose stood there in a waiter's uniform, his face twisted into a revolting smirk.

"Not interested." Her voice was ice.

The door burst open. Dominic shrugged off the uniform jacket, revealing party attire beneath. "My property, my rules." He locked the door behind him, his gaze crawling over her like oil.

She retreated until her back hit the cold wall.

"You dare touch Ethan Roscente's woman?" She forced steadiness into her voice.

Dominic snorted. "He's too busy sharing wedding cups with Isabella Valentine." He advanced step by step. "After I'm done with you, you think he'll want spoiled goods?"

Her pupils contracted.

"Isabella?" The name clicked like a bullet in a chamber.

Dominic realized his slip but shrugged. "Right. She sent me. Shouldn't have pissed off the wrong people."

Frost climbed her spine.

Now she saw the whole game. Isabella was eliminating rivals through a willing pawn.

"Choose me instead." Dominic reached for her face. "Better than that Roscente bastard."

"Don't touch me!" She slapped his hand away.

With a roar, Dominic yanked her hair and slammed her head against the coffee table. Pain exploded behind her eyes. Darkness pulsed at the edges of her vision.

"Help..." The plea was a whisper.

Fabric tore. Despair flooded her lungs. Then her fingers brushed cold glass.

Thud.

The sound of blunt force meeting skull echoed through the room.

Dominic collapsed. Dark blood seeped from his scalp, staining the carpet.

Her hands shook as the ashtray shattered on the floor.

Sirens wailed in the distance.

Tires screeched as a black sedan skidded to a stop outside the police station.
