Chapter 59

"It's obvious, isn't it?" Felix Roland swirled his wine glass, a teasing smirk playing on his lips. "The mighty Ethan Roscente, depressed over his little canary. Who would believe it?"

Ethan's gaze turned icy.

"I thought you had a thing for innocent college girls." Felix leaned in. "I know a few campus beauties—fresh as daisies. Want me to introduce you?"

"Get lost." Ethan slammed his glass onto the table.

Felix snorted. "Playing the saint now? You didn't hold back when you sent that guy she was dating to the hospital."

"Not my doing." Ethan's tone was flat.

Felix refilled his glass, raising a meaningful brow. "Tell me you never considered it."

Ethan looked down, silent.

"Tsk." Felix suddenly turned serious. "Catching feelings?"

"Ridiculous." Ethan scoffed.

"Denial." Felix shook his head. "Sophia's a good girl. If you like her, treat her right. Don't regret it when she's gone."

Ethan's lips curled. "She wouldn't dare."

"Overconfident, aren't we?" Felix drawled. "Those long legs of hers—"

A glass whizzed past his ear.

"You were staring at her legs?" Ethan's voice dripped danger.

Felix threw up his hands in mock surrender. "Can't appreciate beauty now? Not like some people with their collecting habits—" He paused. "Wait, that's not the point."

"One more look," Ethan said coldly, "and I'll gouge your eyes out."

Felix whistled. "Protective much? Still claiming it's nothing?"

Ethan downed his drink, shadows swirling in his eyes.

His phone buzzed. An unknown number flashed on the screen. He rejected the call immediately.

"Who was that?" Felix craned his neck.

Ethan's expression darkened. Another call came through. Felix snatched the phone and hit answer.

"Mr. Roscente, I'm the purchaser of your sperm—"

The call ended with a violent click.

Felix froze for two seconds before erupting into laughter. "Holy shit, Ethan! Selling sperm now? Is Roscente Group going bankrupt?"

"Shut up!" Ethan's temple throbbed.

Felix clutched his stomach, wheezing. "Who the hell has the balls to mess with you? This is brutal!" He wiped tears from his eyes. "But how did they get your private number?"

Ethan gritted his teeth. "Zachary's looking into it."

From the first harassing call, he'd known something was off. Now even men were sending suggestive texts. Someone was clearly targeting him.

Felix was still laughing. "When you find out who it is, let me know. I owe them a drink! This is genius!"

Ethan's knuckles turned white, his expression murderous.
