Chapter 430

Ethan Roscente bristled at Sophia Lowell's condescending gaze.

"Care to explain?" She smirked.

He closed the distance, trapping her against the wall. His fingers tilted her chin, lingering on her soft skin. The faint floral scent clinging to her made his pupils dilate. Without warning, he seized her waist.

"Let go!" Sophia's voice trembled.

His mouth crashed down before she finished speaking. The punishing kiss ravaged her lips, his masculine presence overwhelming her senses. She gasped for air, clawing at his chest.

Ethan twisted her arms behind her back. His lips ghosted over hers now, teasing like a predator toying with prey.

She contemplated biting him.

He withdrew first, thumb brushing her swollen mouth. "Two months are up. You belong to me now."

"Disgusting!" She scrubbed her lips violently.

"The contract's legally binding." He caught her raised wrist effortlessly. "Still want to fight?"

Sophia's chest heaved, eyes glistening with unshed tears.

This man was her personal curse.

Noticing her shaking, Ethan moderated his tone. "Behave, and I won't make this difficult."

"In your dreams."

"Got a better option?"

If looks could kill, he'd be riddled with holes.

Checking his watch, Ethan frowned. "We're meeting someone."

"No!" She spun toward the exit.

He scooped her up bridal-style.

"Put me down!" She thrashed wildly.

"Keep struggling," he warned coldly, "and the baby gets hurt."

Sophia froze mid-kick. "You bastard."

Depositing her in the car, he noted her wrinkled sleepwear with distaste. "Change those rags."

"Touch me and I'll jump out." She clutched her collar defensively.

Ethan yanked his tie loose. "We're seeing my mentor. You'll embarrass me dressed like this."

"What do I care about your teacher?"

"Enough." The engine roared to life. "Don't embarrass me there."
