Chapter 204

Jason Roscente's expression visibly wavered.

Sophia seized the opportunity, a sly smile curling at the corners of her lips. "Help me lose him, and Vivian Ashcroft's WeChat is yours."

His head snapped toward her. "Seriously?"

"Have I ever lied to you?"

"Hold on tight!" Jason's eyes sharpened as the previously smooth-running sports car roared to life, shooting forward like an arrow released from its bow.

Sophia was slammed back into her seat by the force, watching the shrinking headlights in the rearview mirror with glee. "Perfect! Can you go faster?"

The engine screamed as the speedometer needle swung wildly to the right.

"Damn it!"

Ethan Roscente's knuckles whitened on the steering wheel as he glared at the taillights weaving ahead. With a cold smirk, he floored the accelerator.

The two sports cars tore through the night in a high-speed chase. Just as Jason began to smirk, the familiar black Maybach filled his rearview mirror.

The window rolled down, revealing Ethan's chiseled profile under the streetlights. "Pull over."

Sophia's breath hitched. Gripping the seatbelt, she caught Jason's hesitation and urged, "Don't stop! I'll give you Vivian's number too!"

A competitive fire ignited in Jason's eyes. He flashed Ethan a racing hand signal before wrenching the wheel. Tires screeched as the car executed a perfect drift, abruptly changing direction.

Sophia was thrown against the door, instinctively shielding her abdomen. The night wind howled through the cabin, and she realized things had spiraled out of control.

Ethan narrowed his eyes. The speedometer hovered in the danger zone now. Like a cat toying with prey, he systematically blocked every attempt Jason made to overtake.

After repeated provocations, Jason saw red. As he prepared for a reckless acceleration, the Maybach suddenly swerved sideways—

"Screech—!"

At the near-collision, Jason slammed the brakes. Sophia's stomach lurched as she looked up to see Ethan striding toward them, his long legs eating up the distance.

"Open the door."

Jason forced a laugh as he lowered the window. "Uncle Ethan, your driving skills are still unmatched..."

"Spare me." Ethan reached for the door handle.

Sophia shook her head frantically, her nails digging into her palms.
