Chapter 233

The leather shoe slammed into the assistant's knee with a sickening crack of dislocated bone.

The assistant shrieked and crumpled to the floor, sweat instantly soaking through his shirt.

Ethan Roscente adjusted his cuffs with deliberate calm before accepting the sanitizing wipe Zachary Evans handed him. He scrubbed his fingers methodically, the icy glint of his wristwatch catching the light.

That cold gleam made Sophia Lowell's eyes sting. She wanted to rub them but feared the bacteria on her hands would worsen the pain.

"Ethan... help me..."

Isabella Valentine spotted him first. She abruptly stopped struggling and collapsed dramatically, stretching a trembling hand toward the doorway, tears streaking her ruined makeup.

"Enough."

Ethan's voice was glacial.

The dressing room fell dead silent. Zachary stepped forward to separate the grappling women.

Ethan's gaze swept over Sophia's damp hair before landing coldly on Vivian Ashcroft. "Public brawling again? Craving another jail visit?"

Vivian shook off Zachary's grip, lips curling in disdain. "Birds of a feather. Called in your knight in shining armor, huh?"

Sophia shielded Vivian, meeting Ethan's stare head-on. "Isabella threw the first punch."

Isabella clutched her face, her smeared foundation making her look pitiful. "They provoked me first!" She sniffled at Ethan. "I'm calling the police—"

"Bullshit!" Vivian trembled with rage. "I was removing my makeup when she started hurling insults and slapped me!"

Isabella's assistant cowered like a frightened chicken—no match for Vivian's fury.
