Chapter 336

Ethan Roscente admitted he had ulterior motives. When Emily Laurent came to borrow money, his first thought was that this was an opportunity.

A chance to keep Sophia Lowell firmly by his side.

The method might be despicable, but he didn’t care—as long as it kept her close.

"Disgusting!" Sophia’s temples throbbed with anger. She suppressed her fury, glaring warily at the dangerous man before her.

Those pitch-black eyes were unfathomable, making her hesitate to act recklessly.

"Fine, we don’t have to terminate the contract." She took a deep breath. "But the terms must be revised."

She had thought she could walk away freely once the three-month probation ended. But now that she knew this was all his scheme, how could she naively believe escape would be so easy?

"You’re in no position to negotiate." Ethan adjusted his cuffs leisurely, his tone brooking no argument.

"Ethan Roscente!" Sophia grabbed a throw pillow and hurled it at him.

It hit his handsome face squarely, tousling his meticulously styled hair.

The air froze.

"Sophia." His voice was icy.

"What?!" She glared back defiantly.

Ethan suddenly closed the distance, pinning her to the couch. He trapped both her wrists with one hand, looking down at her with a cold smirk. "So eager to act like my elder?"

"Be a good boy and call me 'Daddy,'" Sophia taunted, tilting her chin up.

His eyes darkened dangerously.

She abruptly headbutted his chest. Hearing his grunt of pain, she smirked. "Let go, or I’ll make sure you leave here on a stretcher!"

"You’ve learned a lot from Vivian Ashcroft." He released her, his tone laced with warning.

Sophia wiped her wrists in disgust and grabbed her bag to leave. This man had redefined shamelessness for her.

But as she pulled open the door, she froze.

Outside the CEO’s office, a group of people was escorting a familiar figure toward them.
