Chapter 88
Sophia had contacted Vivian's hacker friend on her way to the police station to trace the video's origin.
The person who provided the footage had already been located and was en route.
Once they arrived, Vivian's innocence would be proven.
Isabella hadn't expected Sophia to turn the tables. Her eyes darkened with fury.
"Even if she was used, the damage is done!" Isabella's voice trembled. "The cyberbullying, the insults—I couldn't sleep at night..."
Her face was pale, fingers clutching the hem of her shirt.
The officers exchanged sympathetic glances.
Sophia smirked.
If only this acting talent had been used on-screen, she'd have won an Oscar by now.
"Ms. Valentine claimed the video was from a film shoot," Sophia said coolly. "But your next project hasn't even started. You're still working at Roscente Holdings."
Isabella stiffened.
"If it was for a film, the production team would have the raw footage." Sophia pressed forward. "If not, then you were bullying that waitress at the restaurant."
She tilted her head. "Unless, of course, you plan to have your fiancé twist the truth again—just like last time."
"Mr. Roscente."
A voice sounded at the door.
Sophia turned. Ethan stood there, his gaze icy.
Her pulse jumped, but she steadied herself.
"Reinforcements have arrived," she said dryly. "Let the performance begin."
Ethan's lips curled. "Commissioner Chen, since when does this station allow criminals to argue their case?"
The commissioner wiped his brow. "We'll wrap this up immediately!"
The officers snapped to attention.
Sophia's stomach dropped.
Ethan's presence had shifted the momentum entirely.
Isabella rushed to his side. "Ethan, I was so scared..."
Vivian mimed gagging.
Ethan's eyes turned glacial. "Control her mouth."
"She's just expressing an opinion." Sophia didn't back down. "Feeling sensitive, Mr. Roscente?"
Their locked stares turned the air frigid.
An officer checked his watch. "When is that witness arriving?"
