Chapter 281
Sophia spun around to find Jason Roscente standing behind her. Her brows furrowed. "What do you mean by that?"
Jason ignored her, striding toward the sofa area. "Vivian, this spot's comfortable."
"Got it!"
Their blatant disregard infuriated Sophia. Her face twisted as her voice rose. "Jason! I'm your aunt! How dare you disrespect me? Should I tell your uncle to cut off your allowance?" She glared at Vivian. "And you! Didn't you see someone was already here? Barging in like this—where are your manners?"
Jason scanned the room, then smirked, crossing his arms. "I see two people standing. The one sitting—is that even human? With that two-faced look, I thought it was a ghost."
"You—!"
The makeup artist stifled a laugh.
Sophia trembled with rage, her chest heaving.
Jason poured fuel on the fire. "Aunt? My uncle hasn't even decided if he'll let you through the door. Who are you to act all high and mighty?" He gave her a dismissive once-over. "Ask around. Who have I ever feared? You think you can threaten me?"
"Well said!" Vivian clapped.
Sophia slammed her hands on the table and stood. "Vivian, you bitch! You're the one poisoning Jason against me!" Her face contorted. "I replaced you once—I can do it again! Want to be blacklisted? Then behave!"
Vivian remained unruffled. "Oh? Threats?" She drawled, "This studio is Roscente-funded. Family comes first. Jason, an actual Roscente, hasn't complained. Yet here you are, some unconfirmed fiancée, throwing your weight around." She eyed Sophia meaningfully. "Wonder what Ethan would do if he knew you insulted his nephew. Call off the engagement, perhaps?"
"Bitch!" Sophia lunged, hand raised to strike.
Jason moved to intervene, but Vivian caught Sophia's wrist first. "Throwing a tantrum now?" Her voice turned icy. "Isabella, is this all you've got?" She shoved her away. "I was practicing martial arts while you were still drinking formula. Want a beating? Get out!"
Sophia shook with fury but was powerless. She seethed at Vivian. "You'll regret this!"
Vivian scoffed. "Running to Ethan again? Too bad." She feigned surprise. "You didn't know? Sophia's on a business trip with him—because he insisted on taking her." She tilted her head. "Leaving his fiancée behind for her... What does that tell you?"
"That homewrecker Sophia!" Sophia exploded.
"Homewrecker?" Vivian's laugh was sharp. "Who was with Ethan first? They dated for two years. You're the one who butted in. If anyone's the homewrecker, it's you."
