Chapter 301

Evelyn's dorm mates had spotted someone walking her back and instantly began whispering excitedly.

"Who was that gorgeous man? Your secret boyfriend? He's absolutely dreamy!"

"Those shoulders! That jawline! Where did you find him?"

"Since when did you start dating? Why am I always the last to know?"

Bombarded with questions, Evelyn quickly clarified, "He's not my boyfriend. Don't get the wrong idea."

"What?! Then what's his name? You have to introduce me!"

The question made Evelyn pause. They'd met twice now, yet she'd never thought to ask his name.

"I'll... ask him next time we meet."

Her friends' disappointed sighs were almost comical. Evelyn simply rolled her eyes.

She made a mental note to clarify things properly during their next encounter.

Fate, however, had other plans.

The very next day, Evelyn's friends dragged her aside. "Evelyn! Isn't that your mystery man from yesterday? Why's he being taken to the dean's office?"

Shocked, Evelyn followed their gaze to see the group of foreign students from yesterday's confrontation complaining to faculty members.

"Professor, this is the guy who attacked us unprovoked yesterday."

"Physical violence is unacceptable! He must be punished!"

"We demand his expulsion!"

Nathan merely smirked at their accusations.

Instead of defending himself, he responded in flawless Eliganese, "Seems I went too easy on you yesterday. Next time, I'll make sure you can't speak at all."

"Enough!" the professor snapped.

"I won't tolerate this disrespect! I'm reporting you to the dean for immediate expulsion!"

Nathan shrugged indifferently. "Do what you must."

The professor reached for his phone when Evelyn suddenly stepped forward without hesitation.

"That's not what happened!"

She recounted the entire incident in perfect Eliganese.

The professor didn't react immediately. Instead, he studied Evelyn carefully.

He recognized her instantly. In fact, every staff member at the university knew exactly who Evelyn Carter was.

Had anyone else spoken up, he might have dismissed it. But this was Evelyn Kingsley's sister!

After a tense pause, the professor turned to the foreign students. "Is her account accurate?"

The students shifted uncomfortably, avoiding direct eye contact.

The professor's expression darkened. "Instead of focusing on your studies, you're causing disturbances on campus? Very well. I'll ensure the administration handles this appropriately."

The foreign students received public disciplinary action, effectively ending the matter.

As they left the office, Nathan regarded Evelyn with an amused smirk. "Didn't expect you to have such courage. Aren't you worried they'll retaliate?"

Evelyn shook her head firmly. "They wouldn't dare."

Not with Dominic's security detail watching her every move.

"Impressive," Nathan remarked, his gaze lingering. "I owe you one. I'll repay this favor when the opportunity arises."
