Chapter 263

"Mr. Donovan, what's on the agenda today?"

Maxwell followed half a step behind Evelyn as he recited her schedule.

"There's a global video conference at 10:00 am. At 2:00 pm, you have a meeting with Mr. Langley regarding the new venture, and tonight at 7:00 is the Sterling Enterprises chairman's anniversary celebration-"

"Understood."

Evelyn's phone vibrated in her pocket. "Hello darling. Are you busy?"

Olivia's voice came through the line. "That VIP client I mentioned? The one who dropped three million last time? She's at the boutique right now."

Evelyn pushed open her office door. "When did she arrive?"

"I've already checked with her. Any time before noon works."

"Got it."

Olivia hung up and approached the waiting client with a coffee. "Ms. Fairfax, our head designer will be here shortly."

The elegant woman gave a slight nod without speaking.

Just then, a familiar silhouette appeared in the boutique's doorway.

Isabella had been released from prison that morning. Her first act of freedom? A lavish shopping spree with Nathan's black card.

She'd already acquired an armful of designer bags, a wardrobe's worth of clothes, and a complete makeover at the most exclusive salon in town.

Those months behind bars had been pure torture. The constant fear, the humiliation - no one could imagine what she'd endured.

But finally, she was free.

Her eyes darkened as they fell upon the boutique. A cold smirk twisted her lips.

She strode inside with purpose.

The moment she entered, Isabella pointed at two mannequins wearing the latest collection. "These. I'll take both."

Olivia approached, then froze mid-step. Her polite smile vanished instantly.

"Isabella Delaney. Out already?" The venom in Olivia's voice was unmistakable.

Isabella's temper flared, but she reined it in. "What are you gawking at? Get me those dresses!"

Olivia crossed her arms. "This establishment serves members only. And you, homewrecker, are not on our list."

Isabella's face tightened. "Then enroll me." She slapped Nathan's black card on the counter.

Olivia didn't even glance at it. "Not happening."

"You-" Isabella bit back her rage, remembering Nathan's warning.

Fresh out of prison, she had no intention of returning.

"These rags aren't worth my time anyway. Only fools would buy this trash."

She snatched back the card and turned to leave.

Then paused dramatically. "Tell Evelyn I'm free now. Our unfinished business? It's only a matter of time."

"Whatever business you think we have, let's settle it now." Evelyn's voice cut through the air like ice.

She appeared beside Isabella in three strides.

Isabella took in Evelyn's flawless appearance - the tailored suit, the effortless elegance. Jealousy burned through her veins.

While she'd been suffering in that hellhole, Evelyn had been living the high life.

Her fists clenched. "Never thought you'd see me again, did you Evelyn?"
