Chapter 494

Isabella lifted her gaze without thinking, immediately catching the disdain and arrogance in Victoria's eyes. The moment their eyes met, Victoria quickly looked away. Nathaniel smirked coldly. "She really thinks highly of herself."

Watching the guests eagerly swarming around Victoria and Reginald, all hoping to collaborate with them, Isabella tightened her grip on her glass. She lowered her gaze and spoke softly. "She has someone who loves her deeply. Someone who gives her all the confidence in the world."

"Of course she's arrogant. That's only natural." She paused briefly before adding, "There are several highly capable individuals within the Kensington family."

Nathaniel knew she had been wanting to take action against the Kensingtons lately. But she never let him ask too many questions, perhaps not wanting to involve him too much in case things went wrong. Now that she had brought it up herself, he realized the situation wasn't progressing smoothly.

He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Not going well?"

She had attempted to breach Kensington Tech's security system multiple times, but their defenses were significantly stronger than before. Despite her extreme caution, the IT experts Alexander had hired for the family had nearly traced the attempts back to her. It was clear Alexander was helping them guard against her.

With his vast wealth and extensive connections, Alexander could funnel endless resources, manpower, and capital into Kensington Tech. Whether through cyberattacks or other methods of sabotage, bringing down the Kensington family was proving nearly impossible. The reason no one in the Whitmore family could restrain him was simple: his empire was too colossal.

Rumors suggested that years ago, some analysts had already calculated that his personal wealth surpassed that of the entire Whitmore Group.

Though NovaTech had developed well in recent years, compared to Isabella and Nathaniel's personal fortunes, they were still on an entirely different level from Alexander. For him, propping up both InnovaTech and Kensington Tech simultaneously was hardly a challenge.

The thought made Nathaniel's jaw clench in frustration. Worried Isabella might act rashly, he advised quietly, "Don't rush it. Your chance will come."

"I know."

Neither felt like staying any longer. After lingering at the banquet for barely half an hour, they prepared to leave.

As they reached the hotel entrance and headed toward the parking lot, they spotted Alexander standing not far away with Victoria and Reginald. Alexander hadn't even attended the banquet. It was obvious he had come specifically to pick Victoria up.

At that moment, Alexander, Victoria, and Reginald noticed them too. Victoria's expression was cool, while Reginald frowned at the sight of Isabella. Alexander, however, gave them a polite nod.

Both Isabella and Nathaniel looked away, deliberately ignoring him.

Their car wasn't parked far from Alexander's. They had guessed correctly—he really had come just to fetch Victoria.

As they reached their vehicle, they saw Alexander and Victoria waving goodbye to Reginald. Then they got into the car together and drove off. It was late at night, and he was here to pick her up. They were probably already living together.

Thinking of this, Nathaniel pursed his lips and muttered, "Get some rest."

Isabella nodded. With that, they each got into their own cars and left.

To accelerate their project's progress, Isabella, Nathaniel, and several NovaTech engineers headed to the airport to meet with people from the Whitmore Group. They were preparing to travel to Edinburgh for system testing.

But just as they arrived at the airport and joined the group, they saw Alexander and Victoria there too.
