Chapter 350

Nathaniel was away on business.

Isabella was deep in thought when Kieran casually asked, "Anything else?"

She shook her head. "You've been at YodaVision for a while now. How's everything going?"

"Good," he replied curtly. "If that's all, I'll head upstairs."

Kieran turned and walked away without hesitation.

Isabella frowned as she watched him leave. His steps were decisive, his posture rigid.

Kieran was clearly still upset about her revealing his whereabouts to the Kensington family. He'd been ignoring her calls for days.

Running into him today, she'd hoped his response meant he was over it. But his demeanor remained frostier than before.

She forced a smile. He just needed more time.

Her phone rang abruptly. An unknown number. The caller identified himself as Nathaniel Graves' attorney, here to discuss termination details of their collaboration.

Isabella's expression darkened.

Nathaniel wouldn't take her calls, yet sent a lawyer? There would be no salvaging this situation now.

With that realization, she strode out of the lobby.

Shortly after Isabella left, Julian Montgomery entered YodaVision on official business. Hearing of his arrival, Isabella immediately left her office for the conference room.

Moments later, Kieran came looking for her. Finding her office empty, he inquired and learned she was meeting with a business partner.

Assuming it was routine, he nearly walked away - until he heard it was Julian.

He froze. Then pivoted toward the conference room.

Inside, Isabella and Julian were mid-discussion when a knock interrupted them. Expecting her secretary, Isabella was startled when Kieran entered.

"Kieran? What-"

"I need to speak with you." Though addressing Isabella, his gaze locked onto Julian.

"Not now," she said firmly. "Later."

Kieran noted the professional distance between them, the presence of others. He nodded. "Understood."

Turning to Julian, he offered a polite nod. "My apologies for the interruption."

Julian studied him silently, understanding exactly why he'd come. Kieran exited swiftly.

The meeting resumed. As Isabella discussed technical details with Jonathan Sterling, Julian's attention remained fixed on her.

He didn't blame Isabella or Nathaniel for defending themselves after the InnovaTech incident.

Yet terminating the collaboration seemed extreme. The Kensingtons had been wrong, but the response felt disproportionate. Almost as if they wanted Victoria to suffer maximum consequences.

Which raised questions.

Was this about Alexander? Did Isabella still resent Victoria for taking him?

If so... did that mean Isabella still had feelings for Alexander after all this time?

Julian stared so intently that Isabella finally noticed. "Mr. Montgomery? Is something wrong?"
