Chapter 367
"Did you hear about the contract termination between VodaVision and InnovaTech?"
"Your student Nathaniel has become increasingly arrogant and reckless, blinded by love to the point of losing all judgment. Have you noticed this?"
Dominic Fairchild had intended to say these words, but when his gaze landed on Alexander Whitmore, the words caught in his throat.
These matters concerned Victoria Kensington after all.
With both Victoria and Alexander present now, Dominic realized he had no right to speak on the subject.
Speaking out of turn in front of so many people would be equivalent to revealing his thoughts about Victoria to others.
That would only cause her unnecessary trouble.
Noticing Gregory Thornton standing beside Alexander, Dominic recognized his identity.
Now that InnovaTech and YodaVision had signed the termination agreement, and with Victoria and Alexander dining with Gregory...
The implications became immediately clear.
DataWing was indeed the best alternative for InnovaTech after YodaVision.
Alexander clearly had special regard for Victoria.
Since Victoria had already found a new partner and Nathaniel's behavior was becoming increasingly erratic, perhaps it would be better for her to distance herself from them.
With this realization, Dominic saw no need to bring anything up with Frederick Aldridge.
His thoughts raced as he quickly decided to say, "It's nothing. Sorry to interrupt."
Nathaniel clearly knew what Dominic had wanted to say.
With mocking amusement, he smirked, "I thought you were angry enough to complain to my mentor."
The sarcastic tone made Dominic realize Nathaniel was beyond redemption - smug and utterly unrepentant.
At that moment, Dominic concluded Nathaniel's situation was worse than he'd imagined.
He'd once pitied Nathaniel.
Now, seeing how eagerly Nathaniel was descending into decadence with Isabella Sinclair, Dominic thought: why stop him?
With this in mind, Dominic responded dismissively, "Mr. Graves, you're exaggerating."
Uninterested in Dominic, Nathaniel turned to Isabella and Frederick. "Professor, shall we go?"
Isabella nodded, gesturing politely. "Professor, this way."
When Dominic and Victoria heard Isabella address Frederick as "Professor," they assumed she was shamelessly following Nathaniel's lead.
Still, it displeased them, feeling Isabella's casual address tarnished Frederick's reputation.
As Nathaniel and Isabella headed back to the office, Frederick departed in his car.
Nathaniel remarked, "Dominic is such a fool. I regret ever collaborating with him just to show Theodore Sinclair respect. The thought of continuing to work with him gives me a headache."
Isabella massaged her temples. "Should we have Mr. Whitfield handle him from now on?"
"Please do!" Nathaniel responded.
Isabella smiled as they entered the building.
Stepping off the elevator toward the company entrance, her phone rang.
Alexander was calling.
Isabella didn't answer.
Noticing her sudden change in expression, Nathaniel guessed the caller's identity.
After the ringing stopped, Isabella was about to discuss tomorrow's work when a new message notification appeared.
From Alexander:
"I'm leaving on business tomorrow. Sophia wants to stay with you. Can you look after her during the May Day holiday?"
Nathaniel scoffed upon reading it. "Just like during the Ember Festival - he can't travel without bringing Victoria along. But he wants you to babysit Sophia so he can have alone time with Victoria?"
