Chapter 326
Neither Julian nor Kieran spoke a word.
Isabella and Nathaniel were engrossed in conversation with other guests, completely unaware of the silent tension between Julian and Kieran.
Since Isabella hadn’t eaten dinner yet, she excused herself after a while and made her way to the buffet area.
Kieran followed shortly after, striking up a casual conversation with her.
Meanwhile, Oliver happened to be near the buffet. When he spotted them, he froze for a second before muttering, "Damn." He quickly turned back toward Alexander and Victoria.
Leaning in, he whispered to Alexander, "That Kieran—I think he’s into Isabella. The way he looks at her… tsk!"
Alexander followed Oliver’s gaze and saw Kieran talking to Isabella.
The way Kieran looked at her—head slightly tilted, eyes warm yet intense—was unmistakably the gaze of a man smitten.
He was treating her with deliberate care, taking the empty plate from her hands and setting it aside before reaching for a slice of cake from the top shelf and placing it gently in her palms.
Alexander arched a brow, mildly intrigued by Kieran’s attentiveness.
Victoria had also glanced their way the moment Oliver spoke.
Kieran’s actions toward Isabella were undeniably tender.
If she didn’t know the truth, she might have actually believed Kieran had genuine feelings for Isabella.
Kieran will pretend to like her first. Once she falls for him, he’ll crush her.
Recalling what Kieran’s friend had said, Victoria turned her gaze back to Isabella, who was now laughing at something Kieran said.
Had she already been charmed by him? Or worse—did Isabella actually think Kieran was sincere?
A faint smirk curled at the corners of Victoria’s lips as she lowered her eyes.
She glanced at Alexander. Seeing his complete indifference despite another man openly pursuing his ex-wife, her smile deepened.
Oliver suddenly remembered something and nudged Alexander. "Oh, right. Isn’t Whitmore Group’s tech division looking to collaborate with YodaVision? Shouldn’t you go talk to Nathaniel?"
Alexander took a slow sip of his wine. "Too many people around him right now. I’ll catch him later."
If Whitmore Group pursued a partnership with YodaVision, Isabella and Alexander would inevitably cross paths more often.
Most women would do everything in their power to prevent their man from working with his ex-wife.
But Victoria?
She merely smiled, unfazed.
Across the banquet hall, Julian was caught up in a discussion with another guest.
When he finally looked over, he saw Isabella and Kieran still deep in conversation. Judging by Isabella’s animated expression, they were getting along far too well.
He had known Isabella for a while now. Though their relationship had improved recently, there had been past tensions between them.
Because of that, she never smiled at him so freely. And she certainly never talked this much.
Julian didn’t know much about Kieran. But in terms of looks alone, the man was undeniably striking.
A shadow flickered in Julian’s eyes.
Turning back to the person he’d been speaking with, he said, "Apologies, I have something to attend to. Let’s continue this later."
With that, he strode straight toward Isabella and Kieran.
