Chapter 290

Dominic wasn't surprised to see Isabella at an event like this when he spotted Nathaniel and Frederick among the guests.

Richard hadn't expected to run into his own son either. "Business meeting?" he asked.

Dominic nodded.

Frederick Langley chuckled. "Richard, this is your son?"

Richard grinned. "Indeed."

"He's impressive. Sharp mind, strong presence. You've raised him well."

Dominic recognized Frederick and Walter Ashford immediately. Though his father was close to them, he'd never actually met them in person.

When Frederick extended a hand, Dominic shook it politely. "You're too kind."

Then, Victoria and Reginald stepped out of their car, and Dominic froze.

Victoria and Reginald were equally stunned when they saw Dominic, Frederick, Walter, and the others. Aside from Dominic, these were men rarely seen in public. Yet here they were, gathered in one place.

Of course, they also noticed Isabella and Nathaniel.

Nathaniel was Frederick’s protégé, the brilliant mind behind YodaVision’s success. It made sense Frederick would introduce him to influential connections.

Victoria and Reginald assumed Isabella was only here because of Nathaniel.

Not that it mattered. Meeting Walter and Frederick in person was an honor most people could only dream of.

They’d heard about Frederick’s vast network, but seeing it firsthand was something else entirely.

Victoria also recognized Walter Ashford and Richard Fairchild—Sebastian’s and Dominic’s fathers. When Dominic glanced their way, she offered a polite smile.

Richard noticed his son’s attention. "You know them?"

Dominic nodded.

Victoria and Reginald approached. Frederick barely suppressed an eye roll. Isabella remained expressionless.

Dominic cleared his throat. "This is Reginald Kensington and his daughter, Victoria."

His tone shifted noticeably when he said her name.

Richard raised a brow. Victoria carried herself with effortless elegance, clearly standing out in any crowd. His son had good taste.

Since Dominic had introduced them, Richard extended a hand. "Pleasure."

Walter had seen Victoria before—she was Alexander’s girlfriend. As she walked over, he glanced at Isabella.

Isabella’s expression didn’t change, but the air around her turned icy.

Walter knew she and Alexander were married, but he wasn’t privy to their issues.

The way Isabella’s gaze frosted over at the sight of Victoria told him everything.

After greeting Richard, Victoria turned to Frederick. "Mr. Aldridge."

Frederick gave a curt nod and said nothing.

Alexander had warned her Frederick was distant with everyone. This wasn’t personal.
