Chapter 78

When Michael regained his dominance, Isabella realized the consequences of her earlier impulsive words. She had the upper hand in their exchange, and he made sure she felt his dominance.

Isabella felt like Michael was playing with her. Her body endured his relentless and deep thrusts. She felt like her waist was about to snap. She clung to his shoulders, leaving marks on his back. In a moment of uncontrollable passion, she bit his shoulder, leaving faint teeth marks.

"My dear Isabella, you really have a sharp tongue," Michael chuckled softly, holding her tighter, as if he wanted to merge with her.

The next day, Isabela woke up late.

She had set an alarm with her last bit of rationality before sleep, because it was her first day officially working at the headquarters. She took it very seriously. But the alarm didn't go off.

"Isabella, sleep a little longer," Michael mumbled, holding her hand. "Your phone woke me up, and I just fell asleep."

Isabella broke free from his hand and sat up, saying, "You keep sleeping! I have to go to work. I'm almost late."

Michael's hand wrapped around her waist again, and he nuzzled his head against her waist and said, "I messaged Eric andgot you a day off. You can keep resting."

Seeing that he wouldn't let go, Isabella was so anxious she was almost in tears. "No, Michael. Today is my first day at the headquarters. Asking Mr.Allen for leave won't work."

Michael suddenly remembered this. He quickly let go of her, got out of bed

and said. "Isabella, don't worry. I'll take you."

Isabella got up, washed, and changed her clothes. She didn't have time to put on makeup, but fortunately, her youthful skin, now glowing with the afterglow of love, needed no embellishments.

Just as they were about to leave, Aaron came in and calmly said,"Mr.Johnson, should I take your business car for maintenance?"

Isabella suddenly blushed as she remembered what they had done in the car. It was so embarrassing.

Michael nodded and said to Aaron, "Take Ava with you. She's been here for a while and hasn't gone out yet."

This time, it was Aaron's turn to blush.

Isabella looked at Michael in surprise, then pointed at Aaron and looked at Ava.

Michael nodded and said, "They are actually a married couple."

Michael took Isabella to the garage, and she was amazed. All she saw were sports cars, but she wasn't interested in them, just thinking they must be expensive.

Michael casually picked one of the cars and drove Isabella to the Johnson Group headquarters.

Isabella didn't expect Michael to be such a good driver. They arrived at the company five minutes earlier than expected. Without a goodbye kiss or even a farewell glance, Isabella swiftly got out of the car and dashed off to her new workplace.

Michael felt like a taxi driver-no, even worse than a taxi driver. At least a taxi driver got paid; he got nothing. Parking the car in the underground

garage, he decided to seek out Jeremy to look after Isabella from the shadows.

"Mr. Johnson, you finally decided to come to work?" Jeremy said as he parked his car and walked towards Michael. "Isn't it less than three months? Why are you here early? Or were you unsatisfied yesterday? Did Ms. Taylor get mad and not let you in bed?"

"Vulgar!" Michael suddenly lost the desire to talk to Jeremy. He turned around. got back in the car, and went home to continue sleeping.

As for Isabella, she arrived at the office five minutes early and Cecilia called her in.

As soon as she entered Cecilia's office, Cecilia asked coldly, "Are all the people from your branch office this lazy?"

Isabella stared at her, stunned.

Cecilia tossed a stack of papers on the table, fuming. "Do you know we start work fifteen minutes earlier than the usual time?"

Isabella shook her head, clueless.

At the branch office, she always arrived just on time. As long as she was a second early, it wasn't considered late. She didn't know about this weird rule at the headquarters.

"Were you under Eric's supervision before? Did he recommend you?"Cecilia asked.

Isabella nodded. "Yes, I was in Mr. Eric Allen's department."

Cecilia sighed. "He's Mr. Victor Allen's son and works at the branch office,so he's more lenient in management. Plus, he's naturally more lax, so he probably wasn't strict with you. From today on, you're part of the

headquarters. Don't bring any bad habits from the branch office here.Otherwise, resign yourself."

Isabella nodded. "Thank you, Ms. Thorne. I understand."

Cecilia waved her hand dismissively. "Go to the HR department and complete your onboarding procedures."

"Okay. Ms. Thorne." Isabella replied and left, feeling relieved.

Cecilia had thought Isabella, being recommended by Eric, would be difficult to manage. But Isabella turned out to be a pretty and gentle girl.making it hard for Cecilia to find fault with her.

Isabella sat at her desk, organizing the documents needed for her onboarding, preparing to take them to the HR department.

"Someone really thinks she's important, being so arrogant. Late on the first day of work," a colleague named Bronte Langley said sarcastically.

Isabella, trying to be kind, thanked her, "Thank you. I'll be more careful next time."

The HR procedures went smoothly, and Isabella got her ID badge.

Just as Isabella returned to her desk, Bronte handed her a file folder and ordered, "Proofread this document. If there are no issues, make an electronic version, print fifty copies, and distribute them to everyone."

Isabella looked at the printed document and asked, "Is there an original electronic version? It would be easier to make changes directly on it."

Bronte, clearly annoyed, said, "Whether there's an original electronic version is none of your business. Everyone is busy, and no one has time to find a file for you. Just do what you're told and stop asking so mnany questions."

Isabella had wanted to suggest that printing fifty copies would waste toner and paper, and sending an email would be more convenient. But seeing Bronte's attitude and remembering Cecilia's warning not to bring bad habits from the branch office, she decided to adapt. She needed to stop thinking about the branch office and quickly adjust to the rules and systems here, integrating into her newlife.

Isabella spent the whole day working on the document. It wasn't until just before the end of the day that she finished everything.

With five minutes left before the end of the day, Michael texted her saying he had arrived.

Isabella replied, asking him to wait a bit as she would leave after work hours.

At that time, Bronte came out of Cecilia's office with a file folder and walked up to Isabella, saying, "Ms. Thorne wants you to take this document to the top floor and get Mr. Wright's signature."

Then she threw the file folder on Isabella's desk.

Isabella took the document and went to wait for the elevator, telling Michael she might be a bit late and asking him to wait for her.

At the elevator, Isabella realized that with her level, she couldn't access the top floor.
