When Emily heard that, she shot Mia a mocking look. In her black dress,her smooth, delicate skin made the handprint on her face stand out even more.

Mia's heart skipped a beat.

Veda chimed in, "Emily, you're still hung up on me being with John? I've always wanted to apologize and make peace with you. Why can't you just be a bit more forgiving?"

Veda buried her head in John's arms, sobbing softly.

"You took away my and John's baby. If you want my life, take it. From start to finish, I owe you. It's my fault. I'm sorry."

Veda apologized, tears streaming down her face.

John couldn't hold back anymore. He glared at Emily. "Emily, you're truly malicious!"

Emily looked down, her eyes filled with sarcasm and coldness.

Hearing Veda's accusations, everyone pieced together what had happened.

Suddenly, besides the accusations from parents and John, there were whispers among the guests.

"So this is the Johnson family's biological daughter. She is indeed malicious.”

"She really is a country bumpkin through and through,too narrow-minded."

Everyone was shocked, not expecting such juicy gossip at a birthday party.

Their words echoed in Emily's ears, just like when she first arrived at the Johnson Mansion over ten years ago. Even in gorgeous clothes,she wasn't seen as a member of the Johnson family.

Emily kept telling herself not to care, but it was impossible today. Veda had to slander her.

Aiden subconsciously asked Veda, "Veda, are you sure Emily pushed you?Wasn't it an accident?"

Veda sobbed in John's arms. Aiden's expression soured. A birthday party that was going well had turned into this mess, and no one looked happy.

John clearly cared more for Veda. To maintain a good relationship with the Williams family, Aiden hadn't stopped Veda from going abroad with John three years ago. And Emily had moved out of the Williams Mansion.

Most people didn't know about John and Veda's relationship. But with Veda revealing the child's matter, Aiden could already foresee the gossip about the Johnson family. He had to think about their future.

Emily watched Veda's performance. For the first time, she realized Veda had a talent for acting. Veda's display of compromising for the greater good and sisterly love was spot on.

Veda said she didn't blame Emily, but her expression was full of accusations.

This made everyone believe Emily had pushed her, and it also gained sympathy for Veda.

Aiden saw Veda's expression soften and decided to smooth things over."

"I won't apologize," Emily said, her voice cold and unwavering.

Aiden, hearing the murmurs of criticism around him about his lack of authority and poor parenting, felt increasingly disheartened. His tone turned stern, heavy with pressure. "I command you to apologize! If you don't apologize today, I will no longer consider you my daughter."

Everyone gasped in shock. Mia's face changed slightly, a hint of panic rising in her heart.

In the corridor in front of the lounge, everyone watched the drama unfold in silence. No one could have imagined today's show would be so intense.

Veda was somewhat gloating, thinking, 'Emily, I can't wait to see how you handle thispressure today.'

Emily's eyes flashed as she fixed her gaze on Aiden. "Mr. Johnson, where did I go wrong? It's true that Veda took my parents away.Did I wrongly accuse her?"

Aiden's expression turned ugly.

Someone in the crowd said, "You two were just switched at birth.Veda was also a baby at that time. What did she do wrong?"

Emily sneered. "Right, she did nothing wrong. So am I wrong for being switched? Mr. Johnson, Ms. Wilson, if you can't be fair, then don't take me back. I don't really want you to be my parents. Aiden angrily growled, "Shut up!"

He raised his hand to slap her, but Emily grabbed his wrist, looked up at him, and asked, "Mr. Johnson, can't you handle it? Isn't this what you've

been doing to me for so many years? What am I to you? The wedding three years ago..."

John coldly interrupted, "Emily!"

Emily glanced at him, a sarcastic smile on her face. "Mr. Williams,are you also afraid to face the truth? At the wedding three years ago, you followed Veda and left, leaving me alone. The two of you went abroad for three years."
