Chapter 33

Robert got a call from Michael, asking him to arrange a pickup for Isabella.

Instead of sending a driver, Robert decided to drive himself to get Isabella and Olivia.

Isabella texted Michael to let him know she was back.

She waited for a while, but her phone stayed silent.

She tried calling him, but no one picked up.

Seeing Isabella getting all anxious, Robert tried to calm her down, "Mrs.Johnson, Mr. Johnson is probably swamped. He hasn't been to work for a few days, so he's probably catching up."

Isabella only knew Michael hadn't been to the Johnson Group, thinking he didn't have a formal job. She didn't realize he had other work. She really didn't know much about Michael.

Since it was still early, Isabella decided to visit Ella at the Summit Serenity Sanctuary in the mountains.

Knowing it was tough to get a cab in the mountains, Robert decided to go with them.

Ella was thrilled to see Isabella, beaming. They wheeled Ella around the courtyard to soak up some sun and chatted about things Ella enjoyed.

Even though Ella was happy, she was still very ill and soon dozed off.

Isabella stayed by her bedside for a bit. Once Ella was in a deep sleep, she and Olivia left.

On their way back, they passed a busy shopping street and decided to get out and stroll around, letting Robert head back first.

Robert kept reminding Isabella to call him when they were ready to go home so he could pick them up. Only after she agreed did he leave.

The two wandered around, chatting as they went.

They didn't have anything specific to buy, so it felt more like they were just killing time.

In a women's clothing store, Olivia spotted a trench coat she liked. She tried it on, and it looked great on her, perfectly showing off her figure while adding a touch of elegance. The soft, gentle color enhanced her overall look.

Even though the price was a bit high for Olivia, it was still within her budget. Looking at herself in the mirror, she didn't hesitate to buy it.

They kept wandering around the shopping street but didn't find anything else they really wanted. So, they found a café to sit down and rest.

Their coffee hadn't even arrived when the owner of the store where Olivia had bought the coat approached them and said, "Excuse me, we can't sell you that trench coat. Please return it, and we'll compensate you double."

The owner seemed sure Olivia would return the coat for double the price.

"Sorry, I've already paid for it. What I buy is mine, and whether I return it or not is up to me," Olívia said, annoyed by the owner's presumptuous tone. "This coat fits perfectly, and I like it, so I don't want to return it."

The owner, not giving up, kept pestering Olivia to return the coat.

Olivia got angry. She stood up and sternly told the owner, "Once I've paid for something, it's no longer your concern. If you keep insisting I return it,I'll call to file a complaint."

Olivia took her phone out of her bag, ready to dial the complaint number.

Before she could dial, the owner took out her own phone and made a call.

Soon, a woman wearing the same trench coat as Olivia arrived with another woman, who looked like this woman's friend.

This woman was tall and sturdy. The trench coat perfectly concealed her thick waist and large hips, making her look slim and elegant.

Isabella thought to herself. 'This coat is really well-designed!

The woman swaggered straight up to Olivia and arrogantly said, "I've bought all the sizes of this coat. Give it to me, and I'll pay you double."

"Get it straight, I bought it first. Why should I give you something I bought?" Olivia couldn't be bothered to deal with her.

The woman's friend stepped up and threatened Olivia, "Ms. Foster never wears the same style as anyone else. She always buys all sizes of a style she likes, unlike you poor folks who treat one piece of clothing like a treasure. Ms. Foster's offer is already generous. If you know what's good for you, hand over the coat and don't make us take it by force."

Olivia was usually pretty chill. If they had been nicer, she might have sold the coat. It wasn't like she had to wear it. But Autumn's aggressive and unreasonable attitude ticked her off, and she didn't want the money anymore.

Seeing that Olivia had no intention of giving up the coat, Autumn stepped forward to try and snatch it.

Just then, the café server brought their coffee. Olivia had just picked up a cup when Autumn and her friend tried to grab the coat. Olivia instinctively threw the cup at them, spilling coffee all over Autumn.

"Are you crazy?" Autumn's friend yelled as she helped wipe the coffee off Autumn's clothes. "If Ms. Foster misses her date because of you, can you

afford to compensate her?"

"Oh, you're going on a date? Don't worry. If I ruin your date, I'll get you a boyfriend.Whatever type you want," Olivía said disdainfully. "With your attitude, no one would be interested in you anyway."

"Tll remember this! You just wait! You humiliate me like this, and I won't let you off easily!" Autumn, covered in coffee, pointed a trembling finger at Olivia and threatened before hurriedly leaving.

This little incident didn't affect their mood at all. After finishing their coffee,Isabella and Olivia continued to stroll around.

After walking for a while, they got tired, and it was getting dark. Isabella and Olivia decided to eat out.

"Olivia, that restaurant looks nice. Shall we try it?" Isabella pointed to a restaurant that looked good.

"Isabella, let's not. I know this restaurant; it has a minimum charge,"Olivia said.

If Olivia knew about the restaurant, it must be good. Isabella decided to eat there.

Before marrying Michael, she had to cover Ella's medical expenses and wasn't very well-off. Her salary would run out before the end of the month.and she relied on Olivia's help for the remaining days.

After getting married, Michael took care of Ella's medical expenses, paying a year's worth in one go. He also covered their daily expenses,so Isabella's salary was saved.

Although Ella's medical expenses for the next year were still uncertain,Isabella could afford to treat Olivia to a nice meal for now.

"Olivia, it's okay. I have money now." Isabella pulled Olivia towards the restaurant.

Thinking of Michael, a child of a wealthy family, Olivia felt it wasn't too much for Isabella to treat her to a nice meal occasionally.

"Alright, I haven't had a fancy meal in a long time. Let's have a romantic dinner tonight," Olivia agreed.

Isabella thought she should have checked her horoscope before going out today.

At the restaurant entrance, they ran into Autumn again.

This time, Autumn was with a woman in her forties, aIso heading towards the restaurant.

"Didn't they say this place was expensive? How come anyone can come here?" Autumn said sarcastically.

She had changed into a white satin mermaid dress adorned with various jewels, almost blatantly flaunting her wealth, looking like a walking jewelry display.

"What do you mean? Do you think we can't afford to eat here?" Olivia angrily questioned.

Autumn didn't hide her disdain and arrogantly said, "That's exactly what I mean. Did you see the sign at the entrance? The minimum charge here is $888.Are you sure you can afford it?"

"It's none of your business," Isabella said calmly.

"Poor people!" Autumn said dismissively.

She rolled her eyes at them and was about to say more when the middle-aged woman beside her pulled her hand and said, "Let's go in. Ms.

Johnson is already waiting. This date is important."

"A date? With her arrogance, it's a wonder anyone would like her," Olivia muttered, "I hope her date fails!"
