Chapter 359
Nathaniel pulled out his phone and dialed Dominic. “Whitmore Enterprises has been too quiet lately. Shake things up for them.”
“Right away, sir.”
At Whitmore Enterprises.
Alexander lounged in his executive chair, waiting for his phone to buzz. A smug grin was fixed on his face.
Isabella had been obsessed with him for years. She couldn't just fall out of love overnight. With a little effort, she would come crawling back.
Suddenly, Harrison burst into the office, breathless. “It’s a disaster, Mr. Whitmore! Several luxury brands just canceled their contracts. They said they’ll never work with us again!”
“What?” Alexander’s expression darkened instantly.
Whitmore Enterprises’ main revenue came from their high-end shopping plazas. These were playgrounds for the wealthy. If all the luxury brands pulled out, their stock would crash. The company would face ruin.
Harrison added nervously, “From what I’ve gathered, this was Boss Blackwood’s doing.”
Boss Blackwood?
Nathaniel Blackwood?
Alexander suddenly remembered Nathaniel’s warning at Rosewood Manor. His cold words echoed in his mind: “She’s mine. If you bother her again, I will erase the Whitmore name from Westchester.”
So Nathaniel was making good on his threat.
Was he not just toying with Isabella? How could a man of his stature genuinely fall for her? How could he attack the entire Whitmore family over a woman?
Several shareholders stormed into his office, voices raised in anger.
“Mr. Whitmore, what is the meaning of this? Why did they terminate the contracts?”
“Our stock already took a hit from your personal scandals. The losses were massive. We haven’t recovered. Who did you piss off now?”
“How can we trust you to lead? Are you trying to bankrupt Whitmore Enterprises?”
“I must have been a fool to support you as president!”
Their accusations grew more aggressive.
Alexander’s gaze turned icy. A dangerous aura radiated from him. “Get out.”
The shareholders flinched. Alexander had grown too powerful over the years.
But the fear of financial ruin emboldened them. “We demand a proper explanation!”
“This isn’t just about money! You need to fix this!”
“How can I solve anything with you causing a scene?” Alexander’s voice was low and threatening. “Perhaps one of you would like to be president?”
They recoiled. Become president? They couldn’t.
Though major shareholders, their role was to collect profits. Real power and problem-solving rested with Alexander.
No one could deny his capability.
At least, before everything went wrong.
One shareholder finally spoke. “Fine. We’ll give you time. You have two weeks to turn this around. We expect results.”
With that, they filed out of the office.
Once alone, Alexander’s hands clenched the armrests. The leather cracked under his grip. His aura was frigid.
Isabella…! Isabella Montgomery!
That timid girl had gained so much confidence just by sleeping with Nathaniel? She thought she could destroy him?
Did she truly believe Nathaniel cared for her?
Did she honestly think she had a future with a man like Nathaniel Blackwood?
