Kathie looked puzzled and asked Melinda, "How did you know I was here?

Melinda opened the car door and cheerfully invited her in. "Kyle called me.He said you were in trouble, so I rushed over."

Kathie smiled knowingly. Kyle was always reliable.

After getting in the car, Kathie called her kids to let them know she was safe. Hearing Jonathan's voice for the first time made her feel at ease.

Even though he often made her angry, having an adult at home to look after her kids was a good thing.

"Kathie, what happened? I heard Tom was going to accuse you of murder,but then he suddenly let you go? When I arrived, I saw him bowing and apologizing to you. It's so strange," Melinda asked.

Kathie shook her head. "I can't figure out why he suddenly let me go either. But this whole thing was Shirley's plan. She wanted to get me imprisoned to force me to divorce Randy."

Melinda angrily slapped the steering wheel. "Shirley is truly shameless.She seduced Randy back then, ruined your reputation, and now she dares to scheme against you. What are you going to do?"

Kathie smiled. "To deal with someone like Shirley, I have to hit her where it hurts the most. She did all this to force me to divorce Randy. If I don't divorce him, she won't have the chance to marry him. She'll remain the mistress, ridiculed by everyone, and her son will be labeled a bastard,humiliated by others."

"What about your kids' schooling?" "Don't forget, as long as I'm not divorced, I have a legal husband. The kids can enroll in school under his name, which will infuriate a lot of people."

Melinda clapped her hands in approval. "That's a great plan. It completely cuts off Shirley's path. She'll go crazy."

If Shirley hadn't gone too far this time, Kathie wouldn't have considered making Randy the legal father of her children. But given the circumstances,she had no choice but to be ruthless.

Kathie smirked. "I want to see Shirley and her daughter go mad with desperation."

"I'm with you. I even have a gift for you."

Kathie looked puzzled as Melinda pulled out her phone and,played a video. The video showed a man and a woman, both naked,having wild sex, as explicit as a porn movie, making anyone blush.

Kathie laughed and cried at the same time. "Melinda, since when do you have this hobby? If you want to watch porn, do it at home."

Melinda laughed. "You think I'm showing you porn? Look closely at the woman's face.See who she is."

Kathie looked carefully and her eyes widened. "Isn't that Melissa? She's cheating on my dad with another man."

"And a young man at that. I did some digging. He's a new employee at the Cavendish Group. He didn't even graduate high school, yet he became a manager right after joining. He must have put in a lot of effort with your stepmother."

Melinda worked at a headhunting company and had connections in all the major corporations in Eldoria. She had people keep an eye on Melissa and informed her as soon as they had any news.

Kathie couldn't believeit. Melissa, who always kept Walter so happy,dared to cheat.

"You've really helped me out," Kathie said.

"Not just this guy. There are several handsome male executives at the Cavendish Group who have a thing with your stepmother. She's quite something,getting both young and old."

"If she weren't so cunning, how could she have climbed from a remote village to her current status? She even caused my mom's death. Once I find the evidence, I'll make sure she pays."

Melinda nodded firmly, anger in her eyes. "You're right. Melissa dared to harm your mom. I won't let her get away with it. If you need,anything from me,just ask."

"I'm really glad you came today. Thanks for driving me back."

"No problem. I want to see the three little ones too."

Over the years, Melinda often visited them, bringing lots of gifts for the kids. Besides their mom, Kathie, the three little ones adored their godmother the most.

Meanwhile,at Maple Grove Residence.

Walter had moved Melissa and her daughter there this morning. It was half the size of the Cavendish Mansion, and Melissa was furious, cursing Kathie for their situation.

Shirley was helping with the luggage, constantly checking her phone for updates. "Mom, it's already evening. Why haven't we heard from Tom?"

Just as she finished speaking, the doorbell rang. Melissa sent the maid to answer it. and soon she brought in an Injured Tom.

Shirley looked puzzled. "Mr. Coleman, what happened to you?"

Tom, furious, slapped Shirley across the face. "You wretch,you got me into this mess. Kathie beat me up like this. If you don't compensate me,P'II call the cops on you."

Melissa quickly stepped forward. "Mr. Coleman, how can you just hit Shirley like that. If Kathie beat you, you should sue her. Why come to us?"

Tom roared."How dare you bring that up? She has powerful people backing her. We can't touch her. If you hadn't dragged me into this, I wouldn't be in this state. Where's Walter? Let him come out and settle this."

Melissa çouldn't let Walter find out about this, so she quickly transferred some money to Tom.

"Mr. Coleman, the money is sent. We were wrong this time. Please bear with us," Melissa said.

Tom took the money and left without further fuss, glaring at Melissa and Shirley.

Shirley stomped her foot in anger. "Kathie got away again. Who's protecting her?"

Melissa patted her shoulder. "We need to stay calm. Kathie knowvs we schemed against her. She'll definitely take action next. We need to be prepared."

Just as she finished speaking, Kathie called.

Melissa signaled Shirley and put the call on speaker. "Kathie, you injured Mr. Coleman. He came to us for compensation. We've already paid him. You should thank me," Melissa said.

Kathie was amazed by her shamelessness. "Melissa, should I thank you or send you a commendation letter? You're such a good person."

Melissa was speechless. Kathie continued, "I've seen many shameless people, but you're the first who acts innocent and good while being shameless. He confessed everything. You still want to deceive me?"

Shirley was furious. "No matter what, we paid a sum of money. You should cover it."

Kathie reorted, "Shirley, are you an idiot? Why don't you call the cops and say you hired him to assault me, but he got beaten up and wants compensation? Let's see who the police make pay. You might even end up in jail."

Shirley was speechless. Kathie continued, "I'm calling to inform you that I've decided to enroll my kids in Elite Tots Academy under Mrs. Berkeley's name."

"What? No way. If your kids take that spot, what about my son? Mrs.Berkeley's identity belongs to mne." Shirley was on the verge of losing it.

Kathie mocked, "Only you would treasure the title of Mrs. Berkeley. This is my last resort. You brought this on yourself. You can continue being the mistress. Your son will always be an illegitimate child."

"Kathie, you..."

Before Shirley could finish, Kathie hung up. When she tried calling back,Kathie had already blocked her.

Shirley screamed, "No, she absolutely can't do that. Mom,you have to help me think of something." She had planned to use Tom to get rid of Kathie, but Kathle turned the robles.leaving them at a disadvantage.
